You will make a test piece and start a small portrait of a person of your choice. Working from your own photographs you will make a very simple organza collage. The main emphasis and careful instruction will be given to hand stitching the features, with an emphasis on less is more, colour selection and direction and density of stitches.

On this workshop direction will be given on choosing the right image and thinking about composition. Stitching an eye – different eyes different approaches. Stitching closed mouths and how to tackle noses.

A fabric pack is included. You will need to provide your own threads a basic sewing kit and an image or two to work from.

This workshop will be delivered via Zoom, the link will be sent to you one week before the workshop starts.
